Adeje old town

The historic centre of Adeje up the hill, with its church, main square and the Casa Fuerte.

Above the coast, the town of Adeje has a very different feel from the resort. The main street climbs past local bars and restaurants to the Plaza de España and the church of Santa Úrsula.

Nearby is the Casa Fuerte, a historic fortified house dating from the 16th century. The start of the Barranco del Infierno trail is also at the top of town.

Adeje town sits higher than the coast, so it can be a few degrees cooler and cloudier. Use the weather page to compare.

Local tips

  • Combine with the Barranco del Infierno walk
  • Try a local restaurant on the main street
