Barranco del Infierno

A protected gorge walk above Adeje town that ends at a small waterfall. Places are limited, so you must book.

Barranco del Infierno is a protected natural area above the old town of Adeje. The trail follows the ravine past cliffs, Canarian willows and dragon trees and ends at a small waterfall, then returns the same way.

Access is limited each day and you must book a time slot in advance on the official website. A helmet is provided at the entrance. Allow around three hours for the round trip.

The walk is closed in bad weather or after heavy rain for safety, so check the official site before you go. Start early to avoid the midday heat on the first, open section.
