La Caleta

Playa de Diego Hernández

A secluded cove reached on foot along a coastal path from La Caleta. No facilities, just sand, sea and cliffs.

Diego Hernández is one of the few unspoilt beaches left on this stretch of coast. There is no road to the sand, so you reach it on foot along a dirt path from the edge of La Caleta.

The walk crosses rocky ground with some ups and downs, so wear proper shoes and take plenty of water, sun cream and shade. There are no facilities on the beach.

It has a relaxed, alternative atmosphere and is known as a clothing-optional beach.

Local tips

  • Wear walking shoes, not flip flops
  • Take water and shade, there is nothing to buy
  • Clothing optional beach

Beach facilities and sea conditions change. Always follow the flags and lifeguard instructions where present.
