· CostaAdeje.fun
Places on the gorge walk above Adeje are limited each day. Here is how booking works and what to bring.
Barranco del Infierno is the most popular walk in the Adeje area, and the number of people allowed in each day is limited to protect the gorge. You cannot just turn up. You need a booked time slot.
Booking
Book on the official Barranco del Infierno website. In busy months, slots can go days or even weeks ahead, so book as soon as you know your dates. Check the official site for current prices, as they change from time to time.
On the day
- The entrance is at the top of Adeje town. Parking nearby is limited, so allow extra time.
- You will be given a helmet at the start. It is compulsory.
- The walk goes out and back on the same path and takes around three hours.
- The first section is open and exposed to the sun. Start in the morning if you can.
What to bring
Proper walking shoes, water, sun cream and a hat. The path is well maintained but uneven in places.
Weather and closures
The trail closes in bad weather and after heavy rain for safety. Check the official site and our Adeje town forecast the day before. Adeje town is higher than the coast and is often a few degrees cooler.
